Simply Be Designs
Triss Blais of Simply Be Designs has been crafting for her entire life.
“Some of my fondest memories growing up include making felt ornaments with my mom as a child. Being an artist and art teacher, she always encouraged and supported all types of creativity and art in our home. When I had my own children, the tradition continued.”
Triss lives in New Hampshire with her husband, two children, a feisty black cat and two beloved labradoodles. She started Simply Be Designs about 9 years ago after her mom taught her how to silk screen, putting her drawings onto different fabrics including dish towels and tote bags. Many of her bold, simple designs have a story behind them. For example, the whale print was inspired by a wild whale watch that her family went on.
A few years ago, Triss started selling her items at local stores and it was then that she began making felt gnomes. She always had a soft spot for a classic, simple gnome but she didn’t realize how much people would come to enjoy them.
“I love coming up with new seasonal ideas for these gnomes. It brings me such joy to create items that might bring a smile to someone’s face, as well as items that people can use every day in their homes.”
Triss looks forward to continuing her business for many years and adding new offerings including surface pattern design and block printing. You can find Triss’ creations at The Village Studio in North Andover, MA as well as Farmhouse On The Corner in Litchfield, NH.
“Being part of this local creative community has been such a wonderful experience. I feel very lucky to be able to share my art with others and support other artists in their creative journey.”

Lily Hill Designs
Erin Blais, Triss’ daughter, is the owner of Lily Hill Designs. She lives in NH with her parents and brother and recently graduated from UNH with a degree in literary studies.
Like her mom, Erin has been crafting her whole life, dabbling in everything from watercolor to macrame to graphic design. In 2020, Erin launched Lily Hill Designs, making stickers that are water and weather resistant as a creative outlet while working through her college courses. She creates the designs using Procreate and prints them on vinyl paper. The stickers can be put on cars, water bottles, laptops, and more! Her best-selling designs include a sunflower, sunset, and a duck wearing rain boots. In the future, Erin plans to incorporate new items such as prints or pins.
Mom,Triss, and Erin’s whole family are extremely supportive.
“I am so proud of my daughter, Erin, using her love of drawing to design bold beautiful stickers. I even had one printed onto my tire cover for my Jeep!”
Lily Hill Designs currently sells in two shops, The Village Studio in North Andover, MA and Farmhouse On The Corner in Litchfield, NH, and has a shop on Etsy (Lily Hill Designs Co).
